whenever I’m at a tech social event and I’m asked to introduce myself, I often begin with that sentence. I’ve been designing for about a year or so, and I just recently started building my skills in web development. But as every beginner would honestly admit, I still had a very long way to go… I needed to skill up, fast!

A couple of weeks ago, I was going through the WhatsApp statuses of my friends when I stumbled on an online flyer asking people to register for a bootcamp to develop digital skills. I clicked on the link and registered.

On Sunday, 14th April 2019, I got an email informing me that I have been selected for the bootcamp.💪🏾 And that was how my journey with Softicu started.

It’s been three days since I started attending the bootcamp, and honestly, it’s been fun. The tutors are really amazing and helpful, and everyone is so nice.

My eyes have been opened to a lot of opportunities available for me in the digital space, as long as I’m ready to put in the hard work needed.

The bootcamp is going to last for two months, and I believe that by the time I’m done with it, even though I might not really be a code ninja yet, I would have mastered the skills that would help me reach ninja status as quickly as possible. I’m so excited! Let’s do this!
